Hello All, This is my first post so please be gentle! I am a complete novice to truck building, but do have experience in model cars/trains/afvs , and have built a collection of 1.32 cars and have wanted for quite a while now to build some british 1.32 trucks to go with this collection nothing all that big necessarily but just since I have been interested in trucks for a long time now. So just thought I'd ask on here for ideas to get started (I do understand that 1.24 is the predominant scale in the trucking world) with some advice about kits in 1.32!
Any help is much appreciated and I will fill you in with the results!
Morris

hello m0rris, welcome mate. the only 1.32 scale trucks i can think of are kits made a few years ago by a company called esci. the kits consisted of a volvo f10 with either a container and trailer or tilt trailer. you could also buy a logging trailer. sure other people will be along to add what they know about 1.32 mate....pete

Most of the current kits in 1/32 are of Japanese types from Japanese kit makers. There are kits of Mitsubishi and Isuzu lightweights that are suitable for the UK, other than that the only one I know of is the Britains Ford Cargo diecast. You will find the Japanese kits on E-bay, the prices are in the £17 to £30 bracket. The Britains Ford Cargo has not been made for some time but are not expensive if you can find one.

Aoshima makes a lot of japanese trucks (Hino, Fuso, etc.) and NewRay has a large selection of diecast european and US trucks (some are nice, others aren't but with a little work they can change). Also amt, ertl and monogram had a wide selection of kits of US trucks in 1/32 scale.

The Airfix ones were from Entex moulds if memory serves....a American Ford C600 rigid race car transporter & then a Ferrari race team tractor/trailer set (motorised)....again an American Ford C600.
Nothing 'British' in 1/32 plastic has ever been available to my knowledge.
Howard.

Well Morris looks like you are going to have to move to 1/24 scale if you want British trucks if there was any 1/32 Howard would know about them Keith

There's a feature about a 1:32 scale snap together Isuzu coming up in TMW issue 162 next month. Brian Fishcake built the Ferrari Ford ages ago in TMW. Peter
