if memory serves i think the towing pin and recess is part of the front crossmember and the bumper just surrounds the recess. should be a notch in the top edge of the bumper to clear the top of the pin. wait to be proved wrong.

This is a pic of an old F I took some years ago ... the bumper and the recess are the same color. Of course, this has obviously been repaired, so the colors are not factory-original.

Was based on this but in my own colours and obviously an F12 with the older lower grille.

That's turned out very nicely,Applause .
Your colour scheme is spot on for Ronaldson Transport , Wick in Caithness and they used to run a very similar Volvo about 17 -18 years ago. I,m not sure the company still exists, a friend of mine used to work there. Might be an idea for signwriting though. I'll see if there are any images around.
