well gaydon is nearly here, and i reckon there are going to be lots of interesting models,as always.and after chatting to lots of you on the forum, and getting to know you through emails, the site and swapping stuff with you.it will be great to know who is at gaydon.thats the problem! how do we know who is who? we cant go round asking, are you so,and so. so what about the people who are displaying models from the forum, you put your forum name on the table as you would do your model entry numbers.then that way people can come up,and say hello im rich(crabman).its just a thought, and it would be nice to put names to faces. richard

Good idea, Rich.
I'll have a card at the front of my table with both real and forum names on it (not that they are a lot different!) Might even put a small photo on it as well in case I have wandered off...

Just look for a huge board with a tree-lined dual carriageway on - that'll be me (there will be a banner on it), and if I'm not at the table and you want to know what I look like, the Wedding DAF will be there to remind you what I look like!

Actually I know what you're going to ask! I did them using Lazertran inkjet decal paper, overlaid with KFS clear decal and then sealed with Kleer polish. This is why my trucks now have white cabs, as this method only works on light colours. Inkjet decal paper doesn't work over dark colours as inkjets cannot print white (although why manufacturers cannot release white ink cartidges is beyond me). The images themselves were edited in a photo package with a border effect to get the faded edging.

One option could be for Ash to get some name badges made for exhibitors to wear, or make our own?

Yeah, I'll be there for the weekend. Am going to take a sheet with my real name and forum name. Also a small pic.
Only 3 months away!! I best get cracking. Although my table will already be full with the commissions I have been doing!
Voyager, that is a superb logo. What programme did you use?

richard Just had a eureka moment, what about getting Traplet (Claire maybe?) to commission a load of badges with the TMW Forum logo & the member's name - advertising for the website/magazine & sorts out the recognising people problem too. If only I could PM Claire.....

With all the work Ashley has to organise the show I don't think it's fair to ask him to produce badges as well...the guy has enough on his hands.

Peter,
I am quite willing to make badges for everyone if Traplet would contribute some of those clear plastic holders?
