I agree, and there's a lot of effort been put into that tank shell.

I'd change the Tekno tyres on the semi-trailer though: they're also a bit over-scale, reminding me of the massive 'balloon' tyres you used to get on the Scammell frameless tankers!

I started a new project ( Another one ?? Yes another one Whistle ).
This time it's going to be an Daf YTZ 2300, this tractor pulls the Patriot installations for the Dutch Airforce. More info and photos about the real one HERE and HERE .

I started out with an old Lion Toys Daf 2000 and I lengthened the chassis, and raised it with ever. Made the winch inside the chassis like the real one has and I also added an extra rear axel and crane supports at the back.
The crane itself is an rebuild mix from a Siku and Conrad crane with an added seat.

Thanks for the compliments.
Today I was early at home so I could do some more work on the YTZ.
The chassis is almost finished now and only needs some more cabeling here and there.

Since I have to wait for parts to finnish the tractor, I started with the trailer today.

I began building the first missilepod and the generator wich has to come on the neck of the trailer.
Yesterday I was thinking how I had to make them, and a friend of mine had an very good idea, use Lego bricks as a base Whistle

Wich I did for the both of them :

Just a little work to do on the trailer frame and have to cut the various axels from the moving parts and then it's time for a paint job :
