Thanks: 2 times
all the kits i can find are based on trucks from the us, just wondered to all those who have attempted it, other than the rare 'can do' pete kit what kits do people use to build wreckers with say a fh/xf/scania cab?

any pics would be good cheers
Brendan

The off-the-shelf wrecker bodies (so to speak) are pretty limited.

Italeri has an ancient BRO wrecker body that has appeared in so many guises it's hard to keep track (Scania T142, Scania R143, Western Star and others...). This kit has also found its way into a Revell box (Scania T142).

Revell has done the Can-Do wrecker and also a Century body on a Kenworth. The Kenworth/Century was reissued last year, so is easier to find. The body appears to be 1/24.

Then KFS has the Holmes 750 wrecker which is a fabulous kit. Quite complicated, but really worth it. The KFS Holmes is the only kit I've actually finished building...
